Changes to Reporting
A change to reporting at Hamlyn Banks
In 2017 we will be introducing “Continuous Reporting” at Hamlyn Banks. As the name suggests, continuous reporting is the process of reporting continually.
Teachers are always assessing students throughout the year to find out what they know and what they need to learn next. In the past we have reported student progress at the end of each semester, terms 2 and 4.
You will continue to get a summary of student progress in the Victorian Curriculum at the end of each semester (the dots page). However, during each term you will receive some current information about how they are going, especially in English, Maths and behaviour/attitude. This, along with parent teacher interviews, will hopefully give you a better understanding of how your child is travelling in their learning.
This information will be provided via Compass, the same program you use to book a parent teacher interview.
For those families who have limited access to the internet, we will offer sessions in the library for you to log in and check your child’s progress when a task is published.
If you have any questions please call Kerrie Duan at the school on 5278 3100.
